What does the message “mobile phone number not valid” [or similar, from IVR] mean?
The “mobile phone number not valid” message means the phone number of your intended recipient is not correct. You may have incorrectly entered the number. To correctly enter a number, dial the number as you would when you make a telephone call to that number, including the country code but not including the preceeding 011 or 00.
There are other reasons a mobile phone number may not be valid – that number may not be an active number on that mobile operator, or it may not be a prepaid mobile phone. Check with the recipient to confirm the mobile operator and that their number can receive prepaid mobile airtime credits.
What do I do if I do not know the mobile operator of the recipient?
You can take a trial-and-error approach, by trying each of the mobile operators listed for a country. Your PIN will not be redeemed if the mobile operator does not correctly match the recipient’s telephone number.
How much airtime credit will be deposited into the mobile phone account?
At the end of your call we will tell you how much airtime credit, in local currency, has been deposited into the recipient’s mobile phone account. The amount received into the mobile phone account is subject to foreign currency exchange rates, local taxes, and fees.
When will the airtime credit be received?
Immediately. When you receive confirmation at the end of your call, the airtime credits will be received by the recipient’s phone.
How will the recipient know the airtime is received?
We will send the recipient an SMS message confirming that their mobile phone account has been topped up.
Can I divide the credit of a single PIN (or card) into two mobile phone numbers?
No. The top up can only be applied to one number. To top up two numbers please purchase another card.
